Portfolio Analyst
Areim is an independent Nordic fund manager, connecting capital, real assets, and expertise. Headquartered in Stockholm, with offices in Copenhagen, Helsinki, Oslo, and London. Areim has invested in real assets since 2003, across sectors including light industrial, data centre, office, logistics, and residential. The firm employs over 100 people and manages assets totalling EUR 5 billion. As the company continues to grow, we are now on the lookout for a Portfolio Analyst to join our team.
As a Portfolio Analyst, you will be part of Areim's Fund Management team and act as the analytical engine behind how Areim's real estate funds are managed throughout their entire lifecycle. You will provide the analysis and decision support that enables Fund Managers to make well-founded decisions at the fund level. Based in Stockholm and reporting to the Head of Fund Management, the role offers close exposure to fund strategy, portfolio development, liquidity management, and investment governance, working continuously across multiple functions within the organisation. This is not a role where you simply update existing templates. The emphasis is on taking ownership of the fund models and influencing how Areim models, forecasts, and reports going forward. Some travel within the Nordics may occur.
Key responsibilities:
• Conduct recurring and ad hoc analyses of fund and investment performance through financial modelling, such as cash flows, IRR, and NPV
• Develop, maintain and improve financial models and templates
• Support investor reporting with analytical input on fund performance and the underlying real estate holdings, and prepare materials for internal management
• Contribute to initiatives that improve, standardise, or automate modelling, reporting, and forecasting, and support covenant forecasts, financing-related analysis, and liquidity planning
Who we look for:
You are a driven and detail-oriented professional who combines analytical sharpness with commercial understanding and relational confidence. You thrive in environments where not everything is set, and you enjoy taking ownership and driving improvements in how the work is done. You are self-starting, structured, and able to translate complex information into clear messages.
We believe you have:
• Strong financial modelling skills
• A strong academic record with excellent results, ideally within finance, economics, or engineering from a leading university
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Additional Nordic languages are a merit
